Güneş Ece Gül

Güneş Ece Gül graduated from TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School in 2009 and obtained her LL.B. degree from Bilkent University, Faculty of Law, in 2013. She has completed her legal traineeship, and later worked as an associate, at reputable international law firms, mainly focussing on corporate law, contracts law, commercial law and international dispute resolution. She has further been involved in ICC arbitration proceedings as legal counsel.
Ece started to work as a freelance lawyer in 2018, and has continued to provide legal consultancy and litigation services to local and foreign companies, while representing her clients in strategic partnerships with foreign companies and providing legal support in the implementation of projects. In addition, between 2019-2021, she served as a legal expert in the Road Safety Vision Zero Project funded by the European Union. Since 2019, Ece has also been working as an expert mediator in the fields of labour law and commercial law, assisting the parties to resolve their disputes amicably without bringing them to court.
Ece has adopted the principle of providing a high quality legal consultancy service to her clients by using her knowledge and experience, and she is looking forward to continuing her professional career under the roof of ATEG with the same principle.

Ayşenaz Tahmaz, obtained her LL.B. degree from TOBB University of Economics and Technology in 2015. She continued her academic education at the University of Nottingham where she has completed her LL.M. in International Commercial Law with a dissertation addressing “the protection of the investor’s legitimate expectations through the standards of Fair and Equitable Treatment and Expropriation in the Bilateral Investment Treaties” . During her time in Nottingham, she has had the chance to work as a Research Assistant in one of the University’s projects on cross-border insolvency under the supervision of Prof. Irit Mevorach. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Private International Law at Bilkent University with a particular interest in International Arbitration.
Ayşenaz has worked in prestigious international law firms in the fields of corporate law, M&As, project finance, international dispute resolution and competition law. She has also provided legal consultancy services to many local and foreign companies with regards to their international projects and deals as well as their arbitration proceedings. Ayşenaz was employed as a research associate at the legal studies centre of the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey - TEPAV, a reputable think-tank. Shortly before the foundation of ATEG, she has worked as a research and teaching assistant of Prof. Bilgin Tiryakioğlu and Dr. Poalo Michele Patocchi at Bilkent University during the academic years of 2018-2021. Ayşenaz is looking forward to advising her clients through ATEG as an expert in international commercial law, combining her academic and practical experience.
